Swansea were crowned Coca-Cola League One champions despite suffering a second successive home defeat as Yeovil claimed a 2-1 win to end their relegation fears.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute when a Marvin Williams corner was headed into the net by Yeovil skipper Terry Skiverton.

Aiden Downes scored a superb long-range effort in the 60th minute to double Yeovil's advantage.

Andy Robinson then steered home a Paul Anderson corner in the 78th minute as Swansea pulled one back but the home side then had Darren Pratley sent off for a foul on Lloyd Owusu.

However, Roberto Martinez's side will go up as league winners after 10-man Carlisle slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Southend at Brunton Park.

Charlie Mulgrew (7) had given the Shrimpers the lead before Simon Hackney (52) levelled.

The Cumbrians then had David Raven sent off for a foul on Nick Bailey in the 67th minute and Lee Barnard rubbed salt in the wound as he headed home in injury time.

Mark McCammon (60) cancelled out Wayne Gray's opening goal as Doncaster came from a goal down to draw 1-1 at Leyton Orient, which kept them in the hunt for an automatic promotion berth.

Fourth-placed Nottingham Forest kept their lingering hopes of an automatic place alive with a 1-0 win over Luton thanks to Nathan Tyson's 67th-minute goal.

Goals from David Prutton (70) and Andy Hughes (79) kept Leeds on course for a play-off place as they recorded a 2-0 away win over Millwall.

Dean Cox's 89th-minute winner ensured Brighton stay in the hunt as they clinched a 2-1 win over Hartlepool after Joel Porter (75) had equalised Glenn Murray's (38) opener.

But Tranmere's hopes of making the play-offs are over they after veteran striker Andy Booth (61) gave Huddersfield a 1-0 win over the Wirral side.

Walsall's chances also ended as they were beaten 3-1 at the Bescot Stadium by Bournemouth, who are four points short of safety.

Danny Hollands (10), Jo Kuffour (35) and a penalty from Brett Pitman (63) saw the visitors ease to victory while Kevin Betsy (33) was on target for the Saddlers.

A hat-trick from Crewe striker Nicky Maynard (14, 68, 76) boosted their hopes of avoiding the drop with a 3-1 win over fellow strugglers Cheltenham, for whom Steven Gillespie (62) found the net.

Gillingham were unable to capitalise and remain three points adrift after they battled to a 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers as John Nutter (38) saw his goal equalised by Steve Elliott six minutes from time.

Elsewhere, Lee Peacock (16), Craig Easton (21), Jack Smith (33), Anthony McNamee (45), Michael Timlin (45) and Ben Joyce (90) scored a goal apiece as Swindon thrashed Port Vale 6-0 while Giles Coke (51) and Ryan Gilligan (64) helped Northampton to a 2-0 win over Oldham.
